New Planet ‘Theranus’ Named for Politicans! They Can’t Get Their Heads Around (or Out of) It!

I won’t get into the debate about climate change. But I’ll simply point out that I think in academia we all agree that the temperature on Mars is exactly as it is here. Nobody will dispute that.

Kentucky state senator Brandon Smith (R) (The average temperature on Mars is −80 degrees Fahrenheit; the average temperature on Earth is about 59 degrees Fahrenheit.)

  1. Should have been named, Uptheranus! But why nitpick: surely the air-conditioned limo can handle that little bit of temperature difference, can’t it? If not, get another brand. Imagine how many Nobel prizes would land among Repugnican politicians if they had one for most ignorant statements made by a politician. “Unfair!” screams Nut-n-Yahoo, “The Americans are just walking away with these prizes!” “If I don’t get one, I’m going to nuke something!” threatens Little Rocket Man. Maybe the reason the Nobel people don’t give out that prize is, they’d be broke in less than a year.
